Annette La Greca, Ph.D., is a Distinguished Professor of Psychology and Pediatrics at the University of Miami. Dr. LaGreca holds a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Purdue University and completed her predoctoral internship at the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill. In addition to her extensive research career, Dr. LaGreca has held multiple leadership roles for the American Psychological Association (APA), including serving as the chair of the APA Publications and Communication Board and chair of the APA task force on Children and Trauma.

Research Interests
Dr. La Greca has published over 300 peer-reviewed articles and chapters and written or edited 19 books. Her work focuses on understanding risk and resilience factors in youths’ physical and mental health. She uses those findings to inform resilience-building interventions. Her work has examined risk and resilience factors among youth exposed to interpersonal violence and disasters. Additionally, she has studied behavioral and psychological aspects of chronic disease management in youth.
