Biography

 

Erin Fowler is a Colorado Licensed Professional Counselor with over 20 years of experience as a trauma therapist. Erin leads strategic alliances for the Institute, supervises UCCS Ph.D. students in the Trauma Track, and provides direct clinical care under the Institute’s Healing Division.

 

As Strategic Alliances Liaison, Erin leads efforts to build and strengthen community collaborations. Her work focuses on developing partnerships with organizations and stakeholders to expand access to resources, improve care pathways, and create a connected network of support for Veterans and the broader community.

 

As Student Training Supervisor, Erin mentors and provides clinical supervision to Ph.D. students in the Trauma Track at UCCS, guiding emerging clinicians in evidence-based practices, trauma-informed care, and innovative approaches to meet the complex needs of trauma survivors.

 

As a Staff Clinician, Erin specializes in working with combat veterans—primarily those from Special Operations Forces—and justice-involved Veterans. She is trained in leading evidence-based treatments for PTSD, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Prolonged Exposure (PE). Additionally, Erin is deeply committed to integrating creative and alternative approaches that foster resilience and recovery after extreme adversity. Erin is a Colorado Natural Medicine Facilitator in Training (NMIT) and an Auricular Acupuncture Technician (AAT), expanding her ability to offer holistic and innovative healing options.
