Biography

Dr. Katie Edwards, Ph.D. is a Professor of Social Work at the University of Michigan. She completed her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at Ohio University. She engages in numerous service activities supporting violence prevention and positive youth development.

Research Interests

Dr. Edwards has published over 220 peer-reviewed journal articles, and her work has been funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the National Science Foundation, the National Institutes of Health, and the William T. Grant Foundation. Her research focuses on preventing and responding to sexual and dating violence among minoritized populations, including Indigenous and LGBTQ+ individuals, using community-based participatory action research.
