Institute Affiliate and Associate Professor in the School of Public Affairs at UCCS, Dr. Anna Kosloski, in partnership with Bridget Diamond-Welch, Associate Professor of Family Medicine at the University of South Dakota, and Carmen O’Leary, Executive Director of the Native Women’s Society of the Great Plains, was recently awarded a grant for $150k from the National Institute of Justice to explore sources of resilience to address the violence experienced by native youth in the great plains region. We would like to congratulate Dr. Kosloski and her team on this grant award and look forward to the important resilience research that may emerge from this effort.
