UCCS Senior Studies Racism in Universities with Help from Institute Researcher Director

Smiling Students in College

UCCS senior, Aja Zamundu, with mentorship from Dr. Heather Littleton, Associate Professor of Psychology and Director of Research Operations at the Lyda Hill Institute for Human Resilience, had the opportunity to participate in a nationwide study on the prevalence of racism on college campuses. The study looked at the experiences of 108 racial and ethnic minority college students across the United States, and will culminate with Zumundu delivering a presentation on the research findings at Mountain Lion Research Days this December. In the spring of 2023, she will present her finding at a psychology conference. To learn more about this project, you can find the complete story in the UCCS Scribe, here.
