Biography

Emmeline Taylor is a PhD student at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) where she studies clinical psychology with an emphasis in trauma. She also works in collaboration with the Lyda Hill Institute for Human Resilience as a graduate research assistant and student clinician. Emmeline's clinical interests include PTSD prevention, and the treatment of PTSD and co-occurring physical and/or mental health conditions. Prior to joining UCCS, Emmeline worked at the VA Palo Alto where she was involved in research related to veterans and the criminal justice system, opioid use disorder, and posttraumatic stress. In her free time, Emmeline enjoys exploring the Colorado outdoors with her family which includes an energetic puppy named Otto!

Research Interests

Emmeline’s research interests include the role of emotion regulation in trauma recovery, and how complex systems strategies can help the field better understand the phenomena of resilience and trauma recovery.
