Biography

Dr. Lincoln obtained his Psy.D. from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 2004. He has practiced in many different settings, including community mental health centers, inpatient psychiatric facilities, residential substance misuse recovery, and outpatient clinics. While recognizing that traditional “talk therapy” can be enormously beneficial, he’s come to believe that it’s only one of a variety of therapeutic routes to creating healing, resilience, and transformation. Toward that end, he has utilized equine-facilitated interventions, yoga therapy, therapeutic hiking, and other experiential modalities working with Veterans, first responders, people with addictions, former prisoners, and other individuals from a variety of backgrounds. When not engaged in psychotherapy, Justin adores participating in various activities with his family, such as hiking, traveling, and cooking.
