Dr. Lauren Sippel is a licensed clinical psychologist, an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth, and the Vice Chair for Quality in Psychiatry at Dartmouth Health. She previously served as the Acting Director of the VA Northeast Program Evaluation Center in VA Central Office. She completed her doctoral training at Penn State University, her predoctoral clinical internship at the University of Mississippi Medical Center and the G.V. (Sonny) Montgomery VA Medical Center, and her postdoctoral training at the National Center for PTSD Clinical Neurosciences Division at VA Connecticut.
Research Interests
Dr. Sippel’s research focuses on improving quality of psychotherapies for mental health conditions. She is particularly interested in enhancing the effectiveness of and access to treatment for PTSD using strategies such as medication augmentation (e.g., intranasal oxytocin and psychedelics) and family involvement.
