Biography

Megan Wendling is a 2024 graduate of the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) Master’s in Clinical Psychology program, with an emphasis in trauma. She holds a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC) license and has been involved with the Lyda Hill Institute for Human Resilience since 2018, serving in a variety of student and staff roles.

Megan currently serves across the Institute’s Healing and Community Training & Empowerment divisions as a Resilience Care Navigator and Clinician with Milestones Resilience Care, as well as a Peer Specialist. Throughout her time at the Institute, she has supported research, clinical, peer support, and community resilience initiatives. She has collaborated with multidisciplinary teams, facilitated psychoeducational trainings on trauma, PTSD, burnout, resilience, and mental health, and contributed to community outreach, training development, program coordination, and resilience-focused programming.

Megan has clinical experience working with a diverse range of clients, including survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence, college students, individuals impacted by substance use, and adolescents in residential trauma-focused settings. Her clinical and research interests center on protective and resilience factors that promote recovery following trauma. She is passionate about incorporating research-informed, resilience-focused, strengths-based, and holistic approaches into her clinical work.

Outside of work, Megan enjoys traveling, seeking out new experiences and adventures, spending time with friends, relaxing with her cat Finley, snowboarding, camping, painting, and watching reality TV.
