Savannah completed her B.A. in History and International Relations at the University of Texas at Austin in 2021 and is currently a first-year graduate student at UCCS in the Clinical Psychology MA Program with an emphasis in Trauma Psychology. She joined Dr. Colin Mahoney’s Mixed Methods Promoting Wellness and Recovery (MPWR) lab in the Fall of 2022. Her research interests include trauma responses within the context of PTSD and ASD and how it relates to survivors of sexual trauma, as well as treatment approaches including integrative therapy and the incorporation of ecotherapy into trauma-related disorders. Her populations of interest include young women who have experienced sexual assault and interpersonal violence, as well as those who have experienced trauma within the confines of the military (i.e. combat and sexual trauma).
