Xin C. Yee, Ph.D.
Biography
Dr. Yee is an assistant professor in the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs. She received her Ph.D. from Caltech in 2015, and her B.S. from MIT in 2009. Outside of work, Dr. Yee loves to cook, bake, garden, and spend time with her family. You can view Dr. Yee's CV here.
Research Interests
Data-driven modeling and machine learning has a tremendous impact on scientific applications. Dr. Yee's research focuses on developing and applying data-driven computational tools and techniques that help with the understanding and analysis of scientific data. Specifically, she is interested in tackling the problem of model reduction and dimensionality reduction. The methods Dr. Yee works with are supervised dimensionality reduction methods, dynamic model decomposition, and Koopman decompositions. The applications of interests are nonlinear static and dynamical systems.
